Card recognition enables children to effortlessly add new cards to their collection using their web cam. Gold cards unlock additional on-line content and augmented-reality provides an easy way for children to create amazing underwater scenes with the animals that they have collected. In-game diving masks and helments provide a fun way for children to capture a photograph of themselves with their submarine collection. 

Carlsberg Can Catch

Optricks created the UK’s first mobile markerless augmented reality game: an interactive on-pack game triggered by the existing Carlsberg packaging. Can Catch was the UK’s largest mobile AR promotion, winning the AIB Creativity in Mobile award for 2010. The Can Catch iPhone game is available for download from the Apple App Store.

AR! Pirates

AR! Pirates is a fun and innovative augmented-reality first-person shooter that pits you against fleets of approaching pirate galleons, on the iPhone and Symbian Smartphones. Use your phone’s camera to shoot and sink ships before they reach the Captain’s treasure. Hours of frenetic gameplay with fleets of ships and power-ups.

BBC iPlayer AR campaign.

To complement the BBC iPlayer TV promotional campaign, Optricks were commissioned by VML to produce three interactive AR experiences, where the users can discover TV or Radio programs of interest, virtually interact with the comedian Rufus Hound, and share the experiences with their friends.

iTrump

A fuel-injected game involving strategy, tactics and luck of the cards!

iTrump is an exciting mix of two-player online racing with turn-based card game mechanics. Developed to augment printed trump card packs, the online game enables players to race Formula 1 cars, Touring cars or motorcycles against their friend around 3D race tracks. The use of web camera, physical cards and state-of-the-art card-recognition provides a seamless and intuitive gameplay experience.

Megakicks Photobooth

Wonderfully simple yet well executed AR 'face-in-photo' experience for fans of Megakicks, bringing an entertaining online dimension to German premiere league soccer collector cards.

Foil-packs of sticky-back 'blank' cards enable children to create their very own collector cards after  printing out their online designs featuring themselves.
